If you can't stand the heat by Joss Wood

My final goodreads win of the month! A copy of 'If you can't stand the heat' by Joss Wood.

Value: £3.49
2013 Total: £1965.68

Update: Hm. I tried really hard to like this - I managed to overlook the stilted dialogue and endless repetition of how attractive they found one another. I even overlooked the frequent point of view changes - it literally switched mid paragraph at one point. Despite the slightly poor writing I was still enjoying it up until the ending where I was forced to endure some seriously corny conversations, and the longest, sappiest inner monologue I've ever experienced. Bit of a let down overall.

The Unexpected Wedding Guest by Aimee Carson

My second goodreads win - a copy of 'The Unexpected Wedding Guest' by Aimee Carson.

Value: £3.49
2013 Total: £1962.19

Update: Didn't realise that this one and the first one I read are actually part of a series! I read them in the wrong order but it didn't really matter; they work as a standalone stories. It was nice to have the same group of friends linking them together though. Anyway, I enjoyed this one as well, although I did think the basis for the plot was a little silly. Still, good characters and writing so all-round a good read!

Girl Least Likely to Marry by Amy Andrews

Done very well with goodreads this month! Mills and Boon were doing lots of giveaways on the site this month, with 50 copies per book available, so I won a few times :)
This is the first of three to arrive - a copy of a 'Girl least likely to marry' by Amy Andrews :)

Value: £3.49
2013 Total: £1958.70

Update: I really enjoyed this. I thought it was a refreshing take on the genre - I loved the heroine and how she didn't instantly fall head-over-heels for him, and I equally loved the hero for seeming relatively down to earth (helicopters aside). Overall it was well written, had great characters and a cute love story. Thoroughly recommend!

New Look Festival Survival Kit

A New Look Festival Survival Kit plus £5 gift card. I shop in New Look all the time so the giftcard is a great little win for me! Really pleased with the kit as well, has various cleaning wipes and plaster in it as a well as a FOLDING TOOTHBRUSH. I was extremely excited to discover this - I travel alot and my eyeshadow always find a way to leak onto my toothbrush and gets it dirty, been meaning to buy a toothbrush case for awhile but now I don't have to, for I own a toothbrush that folds!! Haha.

Value: £9.99 (£4.99 + £5)
