If you can't stand the heat by Joss Wood

My final goodreads win of the month! A copy of 'If you can't stand the heat' by Joss Wood.

Value: £3.49
2013 Total: £1965.68

Update: Hm. I tried really hard to like this - I managed to overlook the stilted dialogue and endless repetition of how attractive they found one another. I even overlooked the frequent point of view changes - it literally switched mid paragraph at one point. Despite the slightly poor writing I was still enjoying it up until the ending where I was forced to endure some seriously corny conversations, and the longest, sappiest inner monologue I've ever experienced. Bit of a let down overall.

The Unexpected Wedding Guest by Aimee Carson

My second goodreads win - a copy of 'The Unexpected Wedding Guest' by Aimee Carson.

Value: £3.49
2013 Total: £1962.19

Update: Didn't realise that this one and the first one I read are actually part of a series! I read them in the wrong order but it didn't really matter; they work as a standalone stories. It was nice to have the same group of friends linking them together though. Anyway, I enjoyed this one as well, although I did think the basis for the plot was a little silly. Still, good characters and writing so all-round a good read!

Girl Least Likely to Marry by Amy Andrews

Done very well with goodreads this month! Mills and Boon were doing lots of giveaways on the site this month, with 50 copies per book available, so I won a few times :)
This is the first of three to arrive - a copy of a 'Girl least likely to marry' by Amy Andrews :)

Value: £3.49
2013 Total: £1958.70

Update: I really enjoyed this. I thought it was a refreshing take on the genre - I loved the heroine and how she didn't instantly fall head-over-heels for him, and I equally loved the hero for seeming relatively down to earth (helicopters aside). Overall it was well written, had great characters and a cute love story. Thoroughly recommend!

New Look Festival Survival Kit

A New Look Festival Survival Kit plus £5 gift card. I shop in New Look all the time so the giftcard is a great little win for me! Really pleased with the kit as well, has various cleaning wipes and plaster in it as a well as a FOLDING TOOTHBRUSH. I was extremely excited to discover this - I travel alot and my eyeshadow always find a way to leak onto my toothbrush and gets it dirty, been meaning to buy a toothbrush case for awhile but now I don't have to, for I own a toothbrush that folds!! Haha.

Value: £9.99 (£4.99 + £5)
2013 Total: £1955.21

Bottle of Boost

Another win from the Boost facebook page! This time a bottle of Boost, yummy! It's a lot sweeter than some other energy drink brands, which I prefer.

Value: 89p
2013 Total: £1914.18

Gatecrasher's Trance Anthems

A copy of Gatecrasher's Trance Anthems - bit of a mix up with this one, as it's about four years old and not the CD I entered a competition for! I've contacted thestudentguide and they were really quick to reply saying they'd sort it out, so I should be receiving the correct CD soon :)

Value: £15.79
2013 Total:  £1913.29

Phileas Fogg Crisps

They were giving these out in town the other day so I grabbed a few! Sample sized bags of Phileas Fogg's new flavours. Yummy!

Topshop Voucher

Won from Freederm in a twitter competition - a £10 TopShop Voucher! :)

Value: £10.00
2013 Total: £1894.53

Hotfuel T-Shirt

A t-shirt from Hotfuel, won in an instant win competition. Hotfuel are a new company that specialise in printed car t-shirts - they only do men's sizes at the moment although a lot of the designs are relatively unisex. The t-shirt is made of a soft cotton but I was mainly impressed with the transfer itself - it's very smooth and glossy, and doesn't feel cheap or sticky like some others. Would definitely recommend the site if you ever want to buy a car t-shirt! Lots of designs available and very good quality.

Value: £19.99
2013 Total: £1884.53

Rose Harbor in Bloom by Debbie Macomber

No idea where this came from, a copy of Debbie Macomber's 'Rose Harbor in Bloom' landed in my doorstep this morning!

Value: £4.79
2013 Total: £1864.54

Update: Finished this quite quickly, it's a fast-paced easy read but I did find some of the narration and dialogue a little irritating. Nobody talks like that in real life! There were three storylines taking place at once, but I found that I only really enjoyed one of them, the other two were just a bit...sappy. Still it's an enjoyable enough read for the summer.

Fragrance Direct Hamper

Eek and double eek! One of my best wins of the year - a Fragrance Direct Hamper, in conjunction with vouchercodes.co.uk! A big perfume win has been something I've wanted ever since I started comping so I'm really pleased! Inside is:

Gucci Guilty gift set - £31.95
Davidoff Cool Water Eau de Toilette - £27.95
Carolina Herrera 212 Men Eau de Toilette - £31.95
Carolina Herrera Sexy Eau de Parfum Spray - £34.95
Calvin Klein lipstick - £1.99
Calvin Klein nail polish - £1.99
Elizabeth Arden mascara  - £6.99

My favourite is the Gucci, is smells really nice!

Value:  £137.77 (it was advertised as being worth £250 so it shows what nonsense RRPs are!)
2013 Total:  £1859.75

UGG Australia Holiday Goodies

One of my biggest wins of the year - Holiday Goodies from UGG Australia:

Pair of Luciana Wedges - RRP £120 but down to £79.99 now they're on sale.
2 x Mosaic Towel - £36 each
2 x Mosaic Luggage Tag - Can't find them on sale anywhere but other tags are on sale at £16

The Wedges are bigger than I would normally wear, but it's a testament to why expensive products are so good - the sole is so padded and cushioned that they're actually really comfy! The towels are also gorgeous, really soft and big. Love them!

Value: £183.99
2013 Total: £1721.98

Bottle of Leninade

Won a bottle of American Soda in an instant win from CyberCandy - it was a hard choice, it's amazing how many different varieties there are in America! I chose Leninade as it looked interesting and it good reviews. It was yummy, not a flavour I had ever experienced before but very nice all the same!

Value: £1.69
2013 Total: £1537.99
