365 Dare you To...

Found a £10 off voucher for an online bookstore with no minimum spend - they only sold reference/non-fiction books so I went for the only category that peaked my interest ;). 365 Dare You To has lots (365 to be exact) of different fun ideas to do with your partner. The book itself is nice, with glossy, high quality pages. The pictures that demonstrate the dares are really cheesy though, more laughable than erotic!

A very nice freebie - 2 packs of false eyelashes from the Vintage Cosmetic Company. They were giving these out for one day only for signing up to their newsletter - it's the kind of offer that doesn't always turn up so it was a nice surprise to get these in the post yesterday - especially two of them!

£40 Cash

2 separate cash payments - one from a competition, the other a freebie! Received them both the same day so thought I may as well post together as they're basically the same prize!

1) £30 Cash - This was another cashback freebie! I don't usually post free cash offers, mainly because they're usually only for a pound or so. This one was from a relatively unknown cashback site called imutual, who were offering £30 just for registering on another site. Was quite surprised when it actually paid out!

2) £10 Cash - This was from an ongoing daily competition on Prize Dig, where you have to pick a spot on the map where you think the treasure is. I've been entering for about a month now, never really expecting to win, so I was very surprised to log in today to see a message saying I'd won! They paid out a few hours later, very impressed!

Kompendium - Beneath the Waves

Another surprise arrival - a CD copy of Kompendium's 'Beneath the Waves.' I didn't know much about it when I entered the competition, so I was just going off the name of it really. I was expecting sort of ethreal, relaxing sleep music. Some of the songs are like that, some of them are more old-school rocky, and some of them are just completely ruined by weird singing. Overall it was quite a mixed bag of stuff, some songs are better than others, but on the whole I found that none of the music was very 'emotive' and I got kind of bored. I don't think I will listen to it again.

A surprise arrival the other day - a copy of Delerium by Lauren Oliver. I've been reading good reviews about this for ages so I'm pleased to get the chance to read it - especially as I love anything set in a dystopian society!

Update: I LOVED this!! I thought everything about it was excellent - I love the whole concept of the 'cure', I loved the romance, I loved all the characters and it was well written to boot. The only problem with it is that now I'm going to have to go out and buy the rest of the trilogy!!
